Landscape Stewardship Technician
This is technical work in the operation of heavy equipment used in general parks maintenance and operation. This position will involve actively managing and improving natural areas in the park system. Work is performed according to adopted land management standards and established routines/schedules. Major responsibilities are for proper land management through the skilled and safe operation of the specialized assigned equipment. The successful candidate will be expected to perform work independently under the general direction of Operations Leadworker or West Parks Supervisor.
This position is not part of an automatic progression series. Rather, movement to an Equipment Operator 3 is based on a competitive process and the needs of individual departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two (2) years of experience in applying land management techniques, including the operation of equipment used in land management and parks or grounds maintenance.
